Flyff Mercenary Job Quest Guide

This Quest locks exp gain. Do not hand in any other quests while this quest is active for you will not receive any exp for
that quest.
The mercenary job change quest is divided into 4 parts, each part requiring a specific task to be performed successfully to
reach the next part.
Mercenary Quest Part 1
Quest Starting Location: East Flaris
Quest Requirement: Level 15 Vagrant
Quest NPC: (Mercenary Drillmaster) Mustang
Quest Name: Vagrant Master Mercenary
Task: Hunt 10 Small Aibatt (no time limit, unlike what the quest text says) and return to Drillmaster Mustang
Reward: 1500 penya, access to next part of job change quest
Quest dialogue:
"Hmm..I cannot turn you down if you want to be trained by me, Mustang. Listen carefully! First, you have to pass a test.
Now, here is the test. I will test how quick and precise you can preform it, based on your experience as a Vagrant. To pass
this test, you must hunt down 10 Small Aibatts. Understand? You have to do it ! Now go!"
Accept:
"Good luck. You will need it! Ha ha ha!"
Refuse:
"Yes, I knew that it would be too hard for you. You are nothing!"
During:
"I knew this! It was not easy at all, right? Ha ha ha! Listen carefully okay? You have to hunt 10 Small Aibatts. You do not
have much time! Go! You are such an idiot.."
Complete:
"Well...Compared to me, you are still too slow. It would only take me 2 minutes to complete the test. But, anyway, you
passed. Still, you are nothing compared to me, Mustang! Ha ha ha! "
Mercenary Quest Part 2
Quest Starting Location: East Flaris
Quest Requirement: Level 15 Vagrant and completion of Part 1 of mercenary job change
Quest NPC: (Mercenary Drillmaster) Mustang
Quest Name: Arm of Mercenary
Task: Collect the following Materials:
5 Twinkle Stone (which are the quest items of Abaitts)
Bring them to Mercenary Master Andy in North Flaris.
Reward: 1500 penya, access to next part of job change quest
Quest dialogue:
"Congratulations for passing the first test! But everything has just started. The 2nd test is to get all of the materials
needed for making the weapons of the Mercenary. There are materials you need to get! Gather 5 Twinkle Stones from
Aibatts. Bring those to the Mercenary Master. The Mercenary Master is with the Madrigal Job Masters in North-Fl. Go! "
Accept:
"Good luck!"
Refuse:
"Yes, I knew you would give up. You are too foolish and lazy to pass this test, right? Ha ha ha!"
During:
"Nobody can be a Mercenary without knowing the great Mustang And Whether you are a Mercenary or not, you have to
know me!"
Complete:
"Thank you very much for visiting here. Now listen carefully. A Mercenary uses 2 kinds of weapons; The Sword and Axe.
The Sword is quick and precise, but does not hit very hard. On the other hand the axe is not as quick and precise, but it
hits much harder then the sword. Using these 2 weapons appropriately is very important. Now do you understand about
the weapons of the Mercenary?"
Mercenary Quest Part 3
Quest Starting Location: North Flaris
Quest Requirement: Level 15 Vagrant, Completion of part 1 & 2 of mercenary job change.
Quest NPC: (Mercenary Master) Andy
Quest Name: Mercenary Skills
Task: Speak to the (High-Dwarpet) Langdrong. The High Dwarpet is on the high grounds
Northwest of Pukepuke and Southwest of grownup Lawolf
Reward: 1500 penya, Label of technique, access to next part of job change quest
Quest dialogue:
"You did a great job with your 2nd test. But there are still other tests you have to pass in order to become a Mercenary. I
have taught you everything I know. Now here is the next test. You have to get information about Mercenary skills. First.
please find the place where High-Dwarpets live. And then visit High-Dwarpet Langdrong. He will tell you about the
Mercenary skills. Oh, before visiting him...You can check the High-Dwarpet place with M hot key. It is really helpful to
check the place of somewhere."
Accept:
"God bless you"
Refuse:
"You cannot give up now.. It does not make sens to give up at this moment all of the sudden."
During:
"Nothing ever comes for free. Remember this always."
Complete:
"Oh! This is the book I lost a long time ago! How did you find it? Thank you! I will let you know something great in return.
Let me see..Hmm..Okay, on page 328.. Listen carefully. Fix your feet and go round holding weapons in both hands. The
spinning attack will do much damage to the target than usual. This skill is called Keenwheel. You cannot use this skill alone.
You can use it only after Slash. You can hit 2 times at once and it is possible to use it 4 times without stopping. It is a really
splendid skill. Understand?"
Mercenary Quest Part 4
Quest Starting Location: High Ground Northwest of Pukepuke and Southwest of Grownup Lawolf
Quest Requirement: Level 15 Vagrant, Completion of part 1,2 & 3 of mercenary job change quest
Quest NPC: (High-Dwarpet) Langdrong
Quest Name: Duty of Mercenary
Task: Kill the Babari( He is south of Central Flarine) and return to (Mercenary Instructor) Hyuit with the Label of Technique.
Mercenary Instructor Hyuit is in East Flaris.
Reward: Activation Scroll, Bull Hamstern, Vital Drink X, Reskill scroll, Stat reset and Job change to Mercenary.
Quest dialogue:
"So, do you understand now? Do not lose the Label of Technique I gave you because it is very important. Now you have
the final test. You know where the drillmaster is. right? You can also find the Instructor over there. His name is
Hew..Hmmm...I am sorry I forgot his name. Anyway, please go there and find him. Oh you have to hunt a new kind of
Masquerpet. They are attacking people near flarine. Okey?"
Accept:
"Good luck and get away now. I am busy."
Refuse:
"Really? Well , it is up to you. None of my business. Hehehe!"
During:
"You want me to say hello to you? Never! I may live like you humans but I am nothing like you! Remember that!"
Complete:
"Thank you very much, It was a real pain in the neck! Here is the final test. It is about the duty of the Mercenary.
Mercenary are close combat experts. A Mercenary always...fights in the front line and protects others during battle. But
even Mercenary has their limitations. Do not get over confident. You are best at fighting an enemy one on one. If you
have to fight with a lot of enemies, other people will have to help you. Congratulations! You passed every test and now
you are a Mercenary!"
